Bellevue Gun Club is proud to congratulate sponsored shooter Christian Sailer on winning the 2025 IPSC Handgun World Championship in South Africa. Competing against the best practical shooters from around the world, Christian claimed the Open Division World Title for the second consecutive World Championship.
The World Championship is the pinnacle of practical shooting, bringing together more than 1,600 competitors from over 80 countries. The match consisted of 30 stages over five days of competition and nearly 600 rounds fired. Competitors were tested on every aspect of practical shooting, balancing speed and accuracy while navigating challenging courses featuring movement, steel targets, partial targets, moving targets, and various shooting positions.
In IPSC competition, shooters are scored using a combination of accuracy and time. Christian successfully blended fast stage times with precise shot placement in the numbered scoring zones to secure a decisive victory over a world-class field. He was the Men's Open Division Champion and helped lead Team USA to the Open Division Team Gold Medal.
Christian's achievement reflects years of dedication and training at Bellevue Gun Club. He started shooting at Bellevue Gun Club at age 13 and is thankful for the many years of support from the range and community.
Congratulations, Christian, on bringing another World Championship home to the Pacific Northwest.
