Level 103 - This course is developed to give the shooter that is new, or transitioning, to the red dot the proper knowledge, skills and ability needed to improve their use and understanding of Red Dot sighting systems.    

What You Will Learn:

  • Safe Handgun Practices
    • Manipulations and malfunctions utilizing the RDS
  • Various RDS Options on the market and how to make a decision that is right for you
  • An understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the RDS and Iron Sights
  • Development of proper presentation to acquire the RDS faster
  • Ability to increase accuracy at distance or for high precision shots
  • Movement
  • Environmental conditions using Red Dot
    • Low light
    • Rainy or wet conditions

Prerequisite:

  • Must be a US Citizen or Immigrant Green Card holder.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and legally able to possess a firearm.
  • Must speak and understand fluent English.
  • Must have taken Intermediate Handgun and/or Concealed Carry I, and/or possess the equivalent skill set.
    • Minimum skills/knowledge required:
      • Mindset, situational awareness, OODA Loop
      • Distinct types of reloads
      • Ability to assess your environment
      • Essential elements of gun handling
      • Movement to shot
      • How to perform quick and controlled shots on target
      • Safe drawing and re-holstering
