Instructor Josh Sandoval

Joshua Sandoval is a United States Army Veteran, born in Saint Louis, Missouri. He enlisted in 2014 as a (Airborne) Cavalry Scout, specializing in reconnaissance operations, and small unit tactics. After graduating O.S.U.T. training and Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia, he was later stationed at Joint Base Richardson-Elmendorf (JBER), in Anchorage, Alaska.

At JBER, Joshua was trained in arctic survival, mountaineering, airborne operations, drone reconnaissance, and advanced marksmanship. Throughout his tenure Joshua participated in two JRTC’S, over twenty fixed wing and rotary wing jumps in arctic climates, serving in both Kosovo and Afghanistan.

Outside of routine military training, Joshua underwent private tutelage from (RET.) SFC P. Kelly, setting the basis for his philosophies on defense training as a discipline, martial art and athletic pursuit of perfection. His direct approach to demystifying defense marksmanship provides results regularly, with students from his lessons and classes being some of the top members of Bellevue Gun Club to this day.

After co-managing the range for three years, Joshua has gone on to working full time in the coffee industry as the Founder and Co-Owner of Foretold Coffee Co., serving premium single origin coffees and culture to outdoor enthusiasts.

Josh is certified by the NRA as a Range Safety Officer, Rifle Instructor, and Pistol Instructor. Availability for private lessons is primarily provided Thursdays and Fridays, but you can reach out to him directly at js.bellevuegunclub@gmail.com, for scheduling inquiries, gear recommendations and follow on training.

"All you have to do is stand, grip, look and squeeze. This is just how it works. If you keep all of your focus on the body and not the tool, with practice, you’ll realize just how simple this is.”
